Bradle Car Lane

The 1854 Ordnance Survey maps show that what is now Bradley Carr Terrace was then known as Bradle Car Lane. It began close to where today Keenan Avenue intersects Westfield Lane. Leading south west Bradle Car Lane then split into two lanes, Spring Lane and Bradle Car Lane, this junction is today preserved somewhat, as are the two lanes, with Spring Lane now known as Hood Street and this section of Bradle Car lane now being Bradley Carr Terrace.

Bradle Car Lane then continued on south towards the hamlet of Frickley, and both Frickley Hall and the old hall, via the Whincover Plantation.
